The Principals

Dr. Ichak Adizes, Director

Dr. Ichak AdizesProfessor Ichak Adizes created the renowned Adizes Methodology and is founder of the Adizes Institute and of Adizes International Inc. - with its worldwide network of Associates that are all certified in one or more of the methodology's elements. Dr. Adizes is a noted lecturer and author. He has written several books that have been translated into 22 languages. Dr. Adizes lectures in 4 languages, has spoken in 43 countries, consulted to 8 prime ministers, and is currently working with the Prime Minister of Mexico, Mr. Vincente Fox and his cabinet. Dr. Adizes served for many years as Adjunct Associate Professor at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management. He is Academic Dean of the Adizes Graduate School and has held appointments as visiting professor at Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University and Stanford University.

Dan Axelrod, Chairman, Board of Directors, ManagementVitality Inc., ManagementVitality Course Author and Adizes Certified Online Instructor

Dan Axelrod is Academic Dean, Adizes Graduate School , Professional Director, Adizes U.S.A. and Chairman, ManagementVitality Inc. Dan is a ManagementVitality Adizes Certified Instructor who frequently instructs online courses and lectures on Adizes theory to audiences around the world. He has more than 10 years experience applying the Adizes Methodology to a wide range of national and international clients. Dan worked for over 20 years as a senior international business executive specializing in new market development, international marketing and corporate finance. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from UCLA.

Glenn McInnes, President

Glenn McInnesGlenn McInnes was employed by IBM and was the founder and president of two information technology companies, Alphatext Limited and Officesmiths Inc. He has served as president of the Canadian Information Processing Society and member of the Minister of Industry's Smart Communities National Selection Committee for twelve projects totalling $60 million over 3 years.

Katherine Prouty, Director, Learning and Communities

Katherine Prouty was most recently Vice President, Product Development for FamilyEducation Network, the largest K-12 online community on the Internet for parents and educators, according to Media Metrix. It was recently purchased by Pearson Learning. Her most recent community-based product for FamilyEducation was "What Works" - a community product built for "joiners" not necessarily interested in traditional chat or message boards. "What Works" brings value to parents and teachers by facilitating information exchange about a wide variety of practical, day-to-day parenting and teaching techniques and ideas. It received the best feature designation from Forbes.

Prior to the FamilyEducation Network, Katherine worked for Ziff-Davis/ZDNet and KnowledgeSoft. At KnowledgeSoft she worked to create virtual universities in major corporations. At Ziff-Davis she founded ZDU on the Internet in 1996, the largest online learning community. Prior to founding ZDU (now Smartplanet), Katherine grew ZDNet's subscription service on CompuServe into more than 250,000 paying members in 1995, the fourth largest online service at the time.

Alexis Hutchison, NBCC Online Leadership Course Program Sales Coordinator

Alexis Hutchison is a graduate of the New Brunswick Community College Sales and Marketing Program where she was on the Principal's Honour Roll. Prior to that she received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Brunswick.

Paul LaBarge, Director and Secretary

Paul LaBargePaul LaBarge is a founding partner of LaBarge Weinstein, a business law firm established in Ottawa in 1997. Paul received his B.A. in Economics from McMaster University, graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1976. LaBarge Weinstein's practice is business law for the high technology sector. Paul concentrates in tax law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions.
He has international experience with start-up technology financings, asset and corporate acquisitions. Paul was a member of the Board of Directors of Corel Corporation and is a director of a number of private companies. He is an instructor on taxation and has authored many papers and books including Offshore Technology Transfers; Winding-up of Corporations; The Perilous Purchase - Preventing Problems - Tax Tips; Scientific Research and Experimental Development - The Law; The Claiming Process. Paul assists small and medium size technology businesses to achieve the next level of growth by providing not just legal opinions, but broader business advice and assistance with strategic business plan review and development.

Kjetil Sandermoen, Director

Kjetil Sandermoen is a founder and President of Adizes Scandinavia, Managing Director of Adizes Norway and a Principal Associate of the Adizes Institute. Prior to Adizes Norway, Kjetil held the position of Director of Marketing and Sales for an IT company, NorComp AS. He has an MA, Economics, from Karlstad University in Sweden and is fluent in Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, English and German.

Mark Sheppard, Director

Mark Sheppard, a partner with SilverPoint Partners Inc. has experience in planning, operating, and expanding high-growth IT firms. Latterly, he was

Venture Capital Advisor, Morningside Ventures (as the investor’s board representative at FamilyEducation Network, Inc., he helped set strategic direction, resulting in a cash sale to Pearson, PLC for $129 M); EVP, Innovative Systems, Inc; and Director, Price Waterhouse, LLC, Pittsburgh, PA. He has an MBA-Information Systems from the University of Chicago.
